In the aftermath of extreme personal loss and adversity during her teenage years, Umā began a search for the meaning-of-it-all far from social networks, schools and rules. This led her at age 20 to an ‘off the grid’ initiation and higher education in Kundalini fuelled mysticism in a secluded river ravine in Bali, her home base for almost 30 years.
